Circuit City - Seagate 200GB Internal Hard Drive for $3.99 AR/PM -- YMMV!

Circuit City has the Seagate 200GB Internal Ultra ATA/100 Hard Drive for only $149.99 before MIRs. Best Buy has this item for $89.99 without rebates. This is a really nice pricematch opportunity, but YMMV.(no sales tax included)

Pricegrabber Price : $74.95 - $149.99 Shipped

1. Print this ad of Best Buy selling the drive for $89.99 or look in your circular(might vary by location).
2. Click here and purchase online for in-store pickup or puchase in store.
3. Go to your store to pickup, let the rebates, etc. print and take it to your car.
4. Drop off rebate forms and go back inside with the Best Buy printout or weekly circular.
5. Ask for a pricematch (Pricematch : -$66.00 (110%))
6. Rebate 1: -$50.00
7. Rebate 2: -$30.00
Final Price : $3.99 After Rebates/Pricematch

The only problem is that the 1st rebate is broken on CC's site. The link points to file://..... ugggg

I'm going to email CC customer service to see if they can fix it.

Both rebate links work just fine for me too. I made sure to test them b4 I submitted the post.

does it really works?

I've seen tons of circuit city price match & rebate every week. But I've yet to try it myself. Does anyone actually got rebates back after a price match? Cause their website said if you did a price match, there will be no rebates. Didn't say that directly but it kinda hint it to me.

Just wondering, anyone got anything back doing pm/ar from old deals yet?

other methods?

oh and, does anyone actually just go into CC with an ad and just ask for a PM directly? Without the pre-ordering online and picking up and returning later for PM? Lots of steps. I'm sure its still worth if it with all the steps for this price tho, just wondering if anyone try anything like that

ya, if they dont price match for me today after work then i will just return it, lol. so no harm no foul either way.

50 dollars rebate form

can someone post the 50 dollars rebate form here?? for some reason i can't download the rebate form.
:(

It's been broke since yesterday. I've been tring to find it, but havn't been able to. :|

Update: I'm working now to get a copy of the rebate. Once I get it I'll post it here.

Ordered one last night, here in Michigan. I wonder if Circuitcity.com only shows the stores that have the item in stock?(!)

I plan on returning it if they don't pricematch... Never did the pricematch thing before, kinda nervous about it. :o

Ok,

I talked to the Circuit City customer support and was told the rebate link should be fixed some time today. If you want to though you can print out the page that has the image of the rebate and the rebate text. On a seperate sheet include all of the info that is asked for on the main rebate. Include a note that the orginal rebate form could not be used because of a bad link on the vendors website.

If anyone has any questions about this please ask. I'll try to answer them as best as I can.

the seagate rebate is seriously the hardest thing i have ever tried to read....will the rebate work with the linked pdf file in this thread?

EDIT:

after posting this msg I went on www.seagaterebates.com and you can look up the rebate there. It is much more legible than the one on the circuit city website. Hope this helps!
