City of San Francisco Giving Away A Historic Duplex House

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You provide the lot and the house is yours!!!!!

The City of South San Francisco is seeking to give away a beautiful, historic duplex home - replete with a white picket fence – located at
323 Miller Avenue. The home is currently located on the site where a
new parking structure will be built. Potential homeowners must be able
to provide a plot of land for the home. The house used to be a single family home but was turned into two one-bedroom units. The future
home-owner may turn the residence back into a two bedroom if they
wish. Units feature hardwood floors and bay windows. This opportunity would be a terrific investment property or family home.

The city is willing to move the house within a reasonable distance and
pay for a foundation. Open house events will be held on June 27th from 5:30 to 7:30 and June 28th from 11-1. Applications will be available at
the open house and are posted on the City of South San Francisco Housing and Community Development website. For additional details,
please call 650-829-6620.

Minimum Requirements: The smallest lot size would be 5,000 square feet. The front setback needs to be 15 feet, sides need to be 5 feet and rear needs to be 20 feet. If it’s a corner lot, then the side setback is 10 feet.

yeah i thought so too...wish i lived near there.

Wish I lived near there..I've got the land but live in Florida! LOL! I've got over 2.5 acres to put it on! LOL! too bad it's not here in Florida

That's sweet! Too bad I live on the East Coast. :verysad:

wow this might be the coolest freebie i've ever seen on spoofe :p

That's only around 0.1 acres...although that much land in San Francisco may not be so cheap! But hey, they'll throw in a house AND a white fence! I wonder what sort of condition this house is in...historic may translate to "in need of major renovations." There are advertisements in the back of "This Old House" magazine that practically give away historic homes....but there is always desparate need for repair on them.

Still, if you have the time & money, that'd be a lot of fun! (at least IMHO LOL)
