Clerk Wins $200,000 in the Lottery--By Accident

CONOVER, N.C. (AP) -- A customer wanted to buy a lottery ticket -- but a clerk at a store in Conover, North Carolina, accidentally punched out an extra one. She spent the rest of the day trying to sell it, but couldn't -- so she was stuck with it.

You can guess what happened next.

The numbers came in -- and the clerk, Wadburn Allen, won a $200,000 jackpot.

She went to Raleigh to claim her prize -- and that's where she ran into the customer who purchased the original ticket. The customer also gets $200,000.

A lottery spokeswoman says, "They put two and two together and ended up hugging."

The two tickets had the same numbers, she accidentally made a duplicate.
They were not numbers she picked, they were picked by the customer.
If anyone 'lost' money, it was the customer.
Instead, they both apparently decided to look on the positive side of the situation.

There could have been numerous customers with those numbers, so it's not necessarily $200k lost.
