how to transfer quicktime movie file to mp3 file?

No answer here, just another question ....

but I can't resist jumping into your thread to ask if anyone knows how to change a WAV file to an MP3; (the change associations/properties thingy doesn't work).

Sorry to intrude on you, I was just thinking that if somebody knew the answer to your question, he/should might know the answer to mine too...

Anyway, apologies and thanks.

in addition to Choochoojr's info, in case you were looking for a free program to convert your .wav files to .mp3 files, audacity is a free program you can use

http://audacity.sourceforge.net/
after downloading audacity, you'll need to go to the optional downloads section, click the link to download the "lame mp3 encoder" (this allows audacity to export mp3 files).

hth :)

I don't know about the Quicktime files but for .wav to .mp3 I use Audio Editor Pro.

For format changes just use the extensions, like this & search the net:
wav2mp3
avi2dvd
asf2avi
QT2mp3

Wowee !!!!

Wow, thanks so much! I can't wait to try these. Hopefully, this will clear up some much needed space on my poor overburdened hard drive. It is struggling along freezing up constantly with 32 % free, so converting to MP3s should really help lots!

Thanks so much again.

I too, love CDex and have been using it for 4-5 years. :D However, now with my Mac I just let iTunes do all the work.
