I got this memory for my 64-biit rig. I'm not impressed with it. I can't run it in Dual Channel mode without the blue screen of happiness. Single channel it runs okay.

Then maybe you should have exchanged it?

Also, older AMD K8 cores had memory controller bugs. It's more likely to be your processor than the RAM.
