Costco has the GEI LED Flashlights for only $3. This is marked down from their original price of $5.97. Never needs batteries. It is a yellow small flashlight and item # is 849902

can't find any reference at costco.com
hi romansteps! welcome to Spoofee.com!

this flashlight deal is probably available in Costco brick & mortar (b&m) stores only (that's why it's not on the costco.com website)

:)

I have one of these from some other store. Go out and get one or two, THEY ARE THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!

Where else are they sold?

The only place I've even seen them is at Costco. I had one in my hand that was unpackaged, and it appears pretty flimsy.

No batteries needed! You are required to charge it by squeezing it repeatedly for it to work. For example, squeezing it for 30 seconds gives you 3 minutes of light.

It only has one LED, so it's not going to light your way home in the pitch black of night! ;)

Being a Costco member for many years, I can assure you that anything marked down is usually a bad seller, and won't be making any return once it's sold out.

No Sale

My B&M Costco in VA still had 2 -- but not on sale. Still $5.97.
Cha ching! No sale.

NO sale

My store (in VA) still had 2 -- but not on sale. Still 5.97. I'll stick to battery lights...

I got mine from a catalog. Yes I will admit it's not the brightest but its good in a pinch and a deal at $3. ( got mine @ $8 and was planing to buy another)

so how many LEDs should be in a flashlight for it to provide sufficient light atleast equal to orthodox flashlights if not more ???

The closest I've ever seen to a traditional flashlight is the Craftsman LED Flashlight. It has 5 LEDs, but it is no where close to a mini-Maglite.

Personally, I own a Dorcy single LED flashlight, and use it primarily to do close-up work. The one plus to these flashlights is the battery life. This particular model I have has a life of 250+ hours on 4 AA batteries, and cost me about $11.

I thought this was G-rated

Do u have to be 18 or 21 to use this flashlight?

LED flashlights have quietly evolved when we weren't looking. There are LED versions of flashlights that are as bright as Maglights or energy-effficient to the point of being able to be turned on for months on a single battery. Here's some info:

What is it about an LED flashlight that raises your concern?

Imagine look on the TSA inspector's face at the airport when they find that in your luggage!
