I am in the process of cleaning out a spare bedroom for my daughter when she comes down in 13 days and have noticed crayon marks in her closet from when my nephew :mmph: last visited.
How do I remove the crayon mark from a white closet wall? Thanks!!!

Hi MrsK!
Try the "Mr Clean Eraser" in the box. I think it comes with two eraser bars....easy to use, dampen it, then scrub the area. Hopefully the paint is a washable latex! Try the eraser in a spot where it can be tested first. Hope it comes off! Rags:wave:

The Mr. Clean magic eraser works awesome on crayon. It is definitely my favorite cleaning supply!

I have a product called "Goo Gone" that I use all the time for stuff like that. It's great stuff. I have used it on wood, clothes, and carpet and have always had good luck with it. I even used it to remove nail polish from my rug. It also removes crayon. I think you can get it at Walmart. Good luck! :bigok:

LOL..we posted at the same time...great minds think alike!!

If you can't scrub it off, paint over them, using Kilz primer first. The Kilz will keep the crayon from bleeding through the new paint.

Thanks guys. You all are awesome when it comes to handy advice.I don't know what I would do with such wonderful online friends!!!:bigok:

I am a big fan of the Mr. Clean Eraser - it works on everything!
However, I am also a big fan of preventative maintenance - I spend the extra cents and buy washable crayons.

I usually take a shower while my husband is home - but one day, I didnt have a choice - so I would periodically call for Kadin and ask him what he was doing as I was showering as fast as I could. It didnt work - he colored all over the dining room walls and the front door! After some disciplinary action (he hasnt colored on anything else since) I got a wet dish cloth and easily wiped it clean. Shout out to Crayola!!!!!

Excuse me?

... in her closet ...

It may be a gender thing, but why are you worried about what the inside of the closet looks like?

And it scares me that my compadres offered you cleaning suggestions that did not include C-4, a hammer or fire.;)

I knew she wouldn't do it the 'man's way'.

Yep... I would have to second (or third or fourth) the Mr. Clean Eraser. Works wonders!

But I have to ask... if it's in the closet? What's the harm?

Maybe it isn't so much the crayon itself, as what's written with crayon. For example, if the kid wrote, "my cousin is a nappy-headed ho" some might view that as worth removing even if it is inside a closet.

That I would saw out and frame for future blackmail material.

'That I would saw out and frame for future blackmail material.'

If that kid becomes a famous artist you could get rich some day.

Did you get the crayon marks out or do you need more C-4?

Yes the crayon marks came out with a lil' elbow grease.:sus:
