Both the Zen Micro and the Rio Carbon are better players than the iPod mini for the same price if you're looking for a mini player. This is a good deal.

I've got a Zen Micro. Despite what EVERY review I've read says... this device does NOT support Microsoft's new MTP protocol. It can NOT autosync with Windows Media Player 10.

:-( They say a firmware update will be released supporting MTP, but a promise is only a promise.

Spoofee, can you add the links in your post here? I know they are there on the front page, but might as well have it on the post too :)
Btw, the link for the light blue one is not working...

I am highly unimpressed by the Ipod . Seems like an overpriced status symbol which Apple has marketed into the latest "must have " electronic toy.

It is impractical if you use it in an active sport. You can not use the touch controller when jogging, cycling, skating, 'cause you have to actually look at it.

Seems like a 128 or 256 ( are there 512?) mb flash memory player with a joystick has all the capacity you would like and can be operated by feel in your pocket.

Get a great sounding Samsung Yepp or Iriver for $150 full retail, less with Spoofee style shopping.

Also the Apple earbuds frankly stink. Get a pair of in the ear Sony's for unbeatable sound

I use a Dell Jukebox 15GB which I picked up for $130 including shipping and tax and a really nice Belkin case. I then added a pair of Sony Fontopia 51's later down the road for $25 and the whole setup for around $160 (player, case, headphones) can't be beat.

Question

Whats goin on? I go to amazon and it says this is $237.49 for some colors and $249.95 for other colors, how does spoofee have it for $224. Also, it says its not released yet, when will it be released?

Wow, CNET! They usually love Apple products, so this Mini-killer must be GREAT. AND, it's like $5 cheaper than the Mini! There's no way Apple's iPod can survive with price pressure like this coming from other competitors! Add in the bonus that you get to use some software other than that crappy, unintuitive cross-platform iTunes junk and you're really in business with this thing! Yay!
