Is this worth getting over the ipod? I was opting for the Cowon iaudio mp3 players, but this has better screen/video resolution and is about 40% less expensive (after the rebate) than both of them. Only thing that the iaudio has over it is the types of audio format it supports.

I bought one a month ago or so for about $10 more and do not regret it one bit. For the price, you can't beat it. It compares very well head to head with the Ipod. The two advantages that most people would say that the Ipod has over this one is the scroll wheel and size (the Ipod is a little thinner). To me, the Zen stands up well on both counts (once you master the Zen touch interface it works great and I like the bigger size), on all other counts I think the Zen is better. More formats supported, higher resolution screen, better battery life, and you don't have to look like an Apple tool. Oh yeah, and this is $100 cheaper.
