The definition of data migration: The process of moving data from one storage device to another.

We are conducting a study to better understand the processes and challenges of migrating data in today's environment that stresses 24 x 7 applications availability and expense reduction.

If you are migrating data for system replacement, storage consolidation, workload balancing, etc., you are invited to participate in an executive study which will analyze data migration processes and challenges.

This 40-question survey is only for end-users responsible for data migration. It should take less than 10 minutes to complete.

Upon completion, qualified respondants will receive a $15 Blockbuster gift certificate, limit 1 certificate per person. You will also receive a copy of the study results, once the study concludes.

I did a data migration project when I worked for a Fortune 50 company. They called it DCAP, although those of us who worked the project called it DCAPitation. I never worked so hard for so little payback.

Too bad I don't have a Blockbuster anywhere near here.
