Read the date on it.

This is a huge deal that is going to start tomorrow.

Dell Bonus Bucks coupons are stackable. You are probably in luck if you still have them. These bonus bucks coupons are available on eBay for sale. They are usually for $30 off $399, $50 off $699 or $75 of $999.

Until unless Dell changes its policies, these coupons are good to go.

so with this coupon it's going to be cheaper (even with no rebates) and i get twice as much ram. the specs are going to be the same except for the ram.

i should be recieving the laptop tomorrow by UPS. am i going to have to return the one i get tomorrow and buy this one? or do u know if they can refund me the difference back?

I know Dell has the Ultra sharp display, but is it the same as on the Sony's Ultrabright technology or the Toshiba Trubright tech. ? Does Dell's have the clear plastic cover on the screen? Please help me!!

Dell seems to be desperate to sell much as they can before the end of October which is good for us! :)

Here's a link to some info that might be helpful

Display Info

From what i can see, SXGA+ has a higher resolution than regular XGA. The SXGA+ also have better pixel pitch and more mega pixels. I am not too sure if there's a clear plastic cover on it or not, you'll have to go to a store and check one out.

15 more mins :-D Can't wait, I am going to be trading in my old notebook and break even, if everything goes right :)

SWEET, I got my order in :) Good luck to everyone else

i stayed up late for this deal as well :)
i recieved my order acknowledgement and order confirmation within minutes!

Dell 9100 - P4 3ghz, 512mb, 15.4" WXGA - Multimedia Powerhouse (8.9lbs)

After I upgraded to $1528 and when i do checkout the total price is
$1,698.00 . Why is that ? I haven't put in the coupon yet but the total unit price should be $1528 instead of $1,698. Can some one tell me why ?

Thanks

Using the coupon code removes the 10-15% discount, but it's still a great deal.

I don't think there is a clear plastic cover. Make sure you get the SXGA+. At one of my work places, they ordered about 5 laptops, and whoever configured them ordered XGA. Workers couldn't stand the 1024x768 max resolution. Those laptops were replaced 1/2 year later. That was a huge waste of money

What day is the end of Dell's fiscal year? If its a few weeks away, then we still have a chance at some great deals and I might want to hold out and see what they have in store.

AFAIK, there's a plastic cover on the screens of 700m, this makes the screen look glossy. The picture definity appears to be more crisp due to the new pixel technology. But the reflection of the background light is annoying. You need to tilt the screen to your comfort level to avoid the reflection. The 600m, 8600 and others do not have the new screens.

Do not get anything less than SXGA+ (or WSXGA+ for wide screen), you will regret later. If you have already placed your order with XGA (or WXGA), my advice would be to call up the customer service and change that item in your order.

This system is no longer a active link, This system vanished from Dell's site?
Perhaps the Intel P4 3-GHz sold out or Dell reached there goal for this particular model.

I agree with the Display advice don’t get the stock XGA display.

SXGA+ screen resolution provides sharper more photo like images, and allows more visual content from applications like webpage’s and spreadsheets to be viewable at one time. More viewable content means less scrolling. The Ultra Sharp UXGA is the best Dell offers.

holy macanoli batman! I got mine!

Ok,
Yesterday, I sat in bed on my Dell Inspiron 8500 lamenting (and almost ordering) a desktop to upgrade my wife's existing desktop. I was a minute away when something told me: WAIT.....Be patient...An offer will come...
So, a creepy omen has come true. Today, I ordered the 700 M which I can dock to her existing 17" Tiger Direct flat LCD. ( Thanks there Spoofee guys for that great deal).
I got my acknowledgement but not my confirmation so lets hope it goes through........

Go George Bush!!!! Keep making us Republicans proud!!!
Thanks all....
Doug
