*note of caution: apparently, filler items of any value will be free when this coupon code is applied. this may be ymmv if orders are cancelled later due to this coupon error.

Noticed that the coffee didn't receive quite rave reviews from customers. Looks like I'll be adding quite a bit of creamer to this cup. You can't complain though. I got the coffee and a deodrant stick priced at $2.70 all for free. So it does seem like you can add any filler you want. Hmm. Sure looks like penpen might be right.

You should have placed a nice order and kept it to yourself penpen. :zip: Now that there are a lot of orders, they'll notice the mistake and cancel them all. :banghead: :D

I hope you're joking, let's hope enough ppl have the good sense to not BLOW IT by ordering $1000+ worth of coffee, or goodness knows what else. This is how deals are blown. Fact is, if you simply ordered an extra 1 or 2 coffee items, nobody would probably notice. Also, did anyone notice the other offer for a $20 GC for orders of coffee totaling at least $49? So please, keep it to a max of three (3) coffee, decent chance it will get through, no cost whatsoever, *and* you'll get a $20 GC to boot!

But I just know some idiot is going to blow it for everyone with some insane attempt to grab a $1000 AMD 64 FX-55 processor, gold watch, etc.

Spoofed

That's great, but I'm sure Amazon will noticesoon. The ship date for that item is at 3-5 weeks already LOL

This coffee ships in 3-5 weeks anyways, lol. Amazon orders are easily cancellable and they totally disappear even from your order history once cancelled, I think anyone who placed insane orders should consider cancelling them. :spoofee:

agreed. sad, but they'll most likely cancel everyone's orders. anyway, it's worth a shot.

fyi, this promo code is also good for the following items as well:
Maxwell House Cafe Collection French Roast Coffee
Maxwell House Cafe Collection House Blend Coffee
Maxwell House Cafe Collection House Blend Decaffeinated Coffee
Yuban 100% Arabica Hazelnut Coffee
Yuban 100% Colombian Arabica Colombian Coffee
Yuban 100% Decaffeinated Arabica Colombian Coffee

Also, if you spend $49 on Maxwell House and/or Yuban Products, you will receive a $20 Amazon GC good towards a future prchase. Although since technically there's no money being spent on these orders, the likelihood of these GC's being sent is probably pretty low.

the deal sounds good -- I hope they dont cancel our orders. The coffee is good if you either add just a small bit of water and or cream to the cup - breaks the sharp edge

Expired

Great tip as always. But this time I'm too late, Amazon website says the offer has expired, when entering the code at the review order page.

some people had better luck when they tried to place their order again. you might want to give it another shot. although, they'll most likely cancel this, but you never know.

I wonder, if they find out about the mistake after they ship the order, do they ask you to return it or charge you for the correct amount? Did anything like that ever happen to anyone??

oh well..

just got this email msg from amazon

Greetings from Amazon.com.

We are sorry that you were not able to use the promotional code FREECOFFEE05 when placing an order on our web site. Due to unforeseen difficulties, this promotional code will not be redeemed.

Because of these difficulties, we have cancelled your order. You are welcome to return to our web site to place a new order for the same items, without using the promotional code listed above.

Again, we apologize for any frustration this has caused.

Thank you for shopping at Amazon.com.

Sincerely,

Customer Service Department

I didn't receive that e-mail but looks like they cancelled the coffee from the unfulfilled part of my order too, but the other item is on it's way since it shipped Friday, lol.

I got the cancellation email as well...

oh well! i dont even have a pod coffee maker, so probably better off!

I received this e-mail from Amazon today. Can they actually do this? I'm thinking that since this transaction is complete, they have no right to make changes on it and I would be able to dispute it with the credit card company if they charge me.

Greetings from Amazon.com.

In reviewing your order(s) placed on April 14 or 15, we discovered
that due to a technical error, the item costs were not applied
correctly. The promotional code which you used when placing this order
was mistakenly applied to the entire order, not the Maxwell House or
Yuban Coffee Pods valued at $22.99.

Because of this error, we have cancelled any unshipped items in your
order. You are welcome to return to our web site to place a new order
for the same items.

As for the items from this order that have already been shipped to
you, you can either keep the items and pay the amount you should have
been charged, or you can return the items for return shipping. Please
select "Missed estimated delivery time" as the reason for return in
the drop-down box that appears on the form.

If we have not processed the return of the items by May 19, we will
charge your credit card for any unreturned items.
Our price for each
item should be displayed in your order summary in Your Account:

www.amazon.com/your-account

We apologize for this inconvenience. Please be assured that the amount
that would be charged to your account for each item is the same price
that was listed on the product detail page on our web site at the time
you placed your order.

We appreciate your understanding in this matter. Thanks for shopping
at Amazon.com.

Sincerely,

Amazon.com Customer Service
