Actually came in less than 24 hours, UPS 2 or 3 day shipping from New York to Philadelphia, super quick. They shipped it like a half an hour after I ordered. Impressive.
Their prices are very competitive with the market. I'm assuming you know about GSM bands and restrictions using different bands on Cingular/AT&T so I won't lecture you.
Well, here's the deal on buying an unlocked GSM phone.
T-Mobile uses the 1900MHz band only in the states, so any standard tri-band or quad-band from another country will work fine.
Cingular/AT&T uses a combination of 1900MHz and 850MHz. The 850 coverage provides for more solid coverage and better reception in buildings, but it is not used at all in Europe/Asia, where these phones are coming from. Therefore, a tri-band 900/1800/1900 phone will not work well with Cingular/AT&T in the states. You'll be hampering your coverage. Then, there's the Americanized versions, which are 850/1800/1900, but they are not really sold unlocked that much.
Quad-band phones (many Motorola models) do 850/900/1800/1900 so those will work fine here with whatever carrier.
I bought a Motorola V635 from MyWorldPhone, I treated myself. Been very happy with it.
What exactly does AT&T wireless uses? i saw you were describing cingular&ATT together.
I just called cingular and the CSR said only the phones with ATT logo will work with an ATT sim card. but i was thinking if i know what band it uses(you said Cingular/AT&T uses a combination of 1900MHz and 850MHz), then i can get a unlocked phone and should be able to use that with the ATT sim card. Right?
so any phone with GSM 850/1900 should work with cingular and ATT as well. right. not according to the CSR, only the ones with logos of ATT??.
