Delete what you dont like?

Ok, earlier today I posted several links that were all funny clips that happened to be derogratory towards Bush, It was in the off-topic forum so it was in the correct location, yet now they are nowhere to be found ... It sounds like Spoofee moderators (or at least one of them) has/have a bias ... which dont get me wrong, I have a bias too, but at the same time I respect others opinions and wouldn't delete their posts just because I didn't agree with them. There was nothing in my post (or the links) that violates the spoofee agreement, so why were they deleted?

I deleted them after asking Cedar about it, and also noted to the mods that if they disagreed with me, they should undelete it.

I do have a bias, but that's not what I was trying to express. Someone came back and posted anti-Kerry links, and to have so many links just posted like that, it's sort of useless and it's nothing we need to have here. It would've just gone on back and forth, so there's no reason to have them here.

Sorry, to have a long thread of just political links, it's kind of pointless.

I wrote Erik and I saw the post, rather then keeping them in one post you made about five in a row so in turn another user started making more one link posts. We have tons of open threads about the election and as Erik and i are both Kerry supporters that was not the issue we didn't think a sperate thread in that style was warrented and would just start fighting as it had already started when it was removed.

Alright, well I thought this kind of stuff is what the "off-topic" thread was for, but if you feel that this is the wrong place for this info thats fine, thanks for explaining yourself to me.

Why not have a whole thread for Kerry and a whole thread for Bush, or just merger everything and have one big giant political thread. I don't think that deleting posts just because someone posted anti-Kerry links is right. This is the off-topic section, and this is where this stuff belongs. As long as it does not get out of hand to where people are threatning others I do not see any problems with these kinds of postings. I do agree though that having 50 different thread all bashing one canidate or the other is senseless. Just my 2 cents

My appologies for the big debate here ... I didn't consider my posts to be "meaningless one word (or short) nonsense posts", they were simply links to sites/videos I found that I thought were funny, and I thought at least some fellow spoofee members would enjoy.

Either way I didn't mean to cause problems, and I will refrain from making such posts on this forum in the future.

The links were funny, I still have a few of them open in Firefox here.. To simplify the reason why Erik & Cedar did what they did wasn't because of "what" you posted, rather "how" you posted it. Each link in it's own reply, instead of all the links in one reply..

We don't even care about that much, but it would just be another thread where fights would start and overall, it's pretty useless. I think the new link posting thread at the top of the page is a great idea, so that should work better. Regardless, sorry for any confusion!
