At dell they have alot of deals going on especially at small business. If you order a monitor from Software and perphieals the flat screen dell monitor normally is $250 but they have a 15% off special till january. Also Dimension 4550 are cheap too because of $100 rebate offer and you can enter a $50 coupon.

I also have a question about buying from the small business section. They have alot of business related questions about ordering is it okay if i buy from them is it legal? Please if someone has ordered from Dell in the small business section and even sent a small biz rebate please tell me how it went did it go without a hitch? Thanks.

Do you have a cat ? Start a small company called Kitty Inc. Just use them dude. I have both SB and home accts and they don't care. It doesn't matter you can own a company that does nothing.

I bought a Dell Dimension 4550 from the small biz division. No problem. The Dell got hard drive sick and I call them for a replacement. No problem. Dell is paying for the shipping for everything. They even consider me a 'priority order'.

I have a cat.
 
Yeah, individuals can order in the small business section. Just put your name as the company name. They don't care.

But I suggest using Ie & netscape, open both of them at the same time, one for biz & one for home & then check the prices. You'd be surprised how much they vary at times.
 
For whatever it is worth I got my replacement Dell Dimension 4550 computer today with no problems. They paid for the shipping for both the new and the broken one.

The business division of Dell never asked any questions about it being a personal or business computer.

When Dell had a technician come and look over my old, broken computer (corrupted hard drive) he didn't ask any questions like why I had the computer shipped to a business address and the computer is at my home address.

Dell doesn't mind if you are not a business.

I'm happy with this Dell business division computer.
 
what about tax on the computer if u order from small biz u pay tax but if u buy from home office you dont pay tax. Is there a loophole which donest require u to get some goverment signed papers?
 
I got taxed on my Dell order.

Even though Dell is located in Texas they must have a 'presence' in my state of CA so tax was added to my order. I don't know if other people in other states got taxed.

Any one else from another state want to tell?
 
Yes, for california in the biz section. You can of course, get a resale license.

Prices vary from biz & home areas so you just have to open both of them & check but try to use two browsers so you can keep your cookies
