I have this notebook and have been more than impressed. It is much faster than I expected. But if there is one upgrade I might suggest is the 1680x1050 resolution, if its not included and you plan to do any type of graphic work.

12% tax for me in WA state

This $250 rebate kills the deal for me. Why?, Because it makes me give 12% to the state of Washington as tax. That’s right, 12% not 8.8% like a non- rebate deals. If they offer a rebate of $250 then they should tax on $649 not $899. State governments must love rebates because they get tax on inflated prices. I think it stinks, and 60 Minutes should do an expose on this Government shake down.

hm appearently 3 the free upgrades deal is only if you pay for a 4 year service agreement which jacks the price way up.

I've needed a new laptop for a while now. Picked up one of these. I noticed the 1gb upgrade in the Dell newsletter....but in the newsletter there was no rebate if you upgraded. :/

I got a free printer and CD/DVD burner upgrade with this deal.
