This is a great deal, but: caveat emptor!

I got a 600M a few months ago, and it weighs 5lbs 11oz. That is with the standard battery and a CD burner. WAY TOO HEAVY!!! I wish I had waited to get the deal on the 700M
 
the I9300 is AWESOME!!! I have the I9200 and I love it! It does weight about 8lbs, but its actually not too heavy in my opnion

Yes, the 9300 IS a sweet laptop!
It's basically the XPS without the 256MB video card (which is an available upgrade for the 9300).

Unless you travel with your laptop, the 9300 can't be beat!!
(the weight/size of the 9300 is it's only drawback)

It's basically a powerhouse PC in a Laptop package.
 
Does anyone know how the coupon works? I visisted Dell's website and they seem to be offering a discount of their own on all the laptops. So my specific question is, does the $500 off coupon apply to the pre- or post- discounted price? And Cauchemar, if you read this, what did you mean by "but it costs 1100 bucks."
 
the minimum on the I9300 is $1100 bucks(600 off 1700 = min 1100), but the minimum on the others are only $900, so he got the cheaper one.



Dell currently has % off on their models. This coupon does not "stack" you can only use one or the other. In the case of the I9300 (20% off) you can get a better deal with the coupon until 20% off becomes more than $600 (i.e. over $3000 before discount)
