Re: Update

I think the BQDWK3C code is for Vista.

And I don't think this is that good of a deal, is it? I'm looking into buying a laptop, but so far it seems like ebay is the place to get bang for your buck, as usual.

If you get Vista, do yourself a HUGE favor and get 2 GB of RAM instead. You won't regret it.

Do yourself a bigger favor and get ubuntu Linux, then you can keep your existing RAM.

Can normal people (=private party) buy this laptop from Dell Small business section? Or, you have to be a small business owner in order to buy anything from this ???

I'm pretty sure a regular party can. Just make up a business name if the field is required. :-)

And I second Linux. But I'd rather not waste time tinkering when I can just use Windows and get my work done faster!

Yes I just received my about a week ago. There is a rumor that Dell might call you and asking about your business but i didn't get one.

I got one for myself and I've had it for about 2 weeks now.
I got it for college, I don't own a business, and I never received any phone calls from Dell.

It's an AWESOME deal if you ask me, and it has everything I need in a laptop for school.

Dell never called me asking about my business. I ordered a computer from small business over 2 years ago. I get product mailers from time to time, but never a confirmation call

Bit the bullet and ordered one. My current Dell Inspiron 8200 is over 5 years old and it's time to get a new laptop. I opted for the upgraded LCD screen and better battery. Dual Core 2 Intel option. Now I can play with the big boys, so to speak. Funny how prices drop over time. 5 years ago I spent $2,300 on my Inspiron laptop. Today I spent about $800 w/tax.
