I remember seeing some deals under $900 a couple months ago on Spoofee.com, but none have come up recently.

Dell is currently offering an instant 10% off the 700M.
There are also several coupon codes in this Spoofee thread (started by Choochoojr), one of which may enable you 20% off an inspiron notebook $999+. For example, here's one Kage_ shared: 20% off an Inspiron Notebook at $999 or more. Code: 086$FKGXS0RT0Z (if the coupon code has already been used, then you'll need to find another one). There are other codes that can get you $200 off an inspiron notebook $999+. Note: The listed codes expire on 01/05/2005.
