I don't know of anyone who either received their rebate or a rebate confirmation from the last deal on this item last year.

:mad: bad idea... i bought one last year in nov and i still haven't received my rebate yet. i tried to contact that company so many but no go!!! they don't even have phone number on their website!! if you want to waste your money, then go for it
 
I sent them an email about the one i did in nov and got this back

Our outside contract co-operator is working on the rebates, and please be noted the whole rebate process may take approximately 8 weeks to complete as stated on the rebate application. its been 8 weeks since i mailed it, but not 8 weeks since the rebate deadline.
 
it was what i got the first time i sent them email. then i sent another email requesting more info regarding that rebate company, they don't answer my email anymore.
 
Same here. matt0424 and I have collaborated on this before this post appeared. I don't see anything on Diablotek on rebateroulette.com or on rebatereportcard.com. I think I'll go ahead and add some info. :) From the looks of their e-mail, the broken english may be a bad sign. :( Hope something turns out for the better.

I do indeed like the drive enclosure. Looks cool and runs great. I think my Ultra USB/Firewire version is better b/c it has a cooling fan instead of passive-cooling.

I did the last one, but I'm not too worried. They are local to me. IIRC from the last rebate, they are on Don Julian Road in the City of Industry (this one shows a P.O. Box on the form), which I take home from work sometimes. If worst comes to worst, I'll stop by and pay them a visit.

Two DOA units from Buy.com, I sent in the rebates, but nothing yet...

The postage to return the items would be more than the rebates, so ....

live and learn, and NEVER AGAIN. :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad:

These units are CR#P and have bad reviews all over the net... don't get them. They are trying to rebate them so you can't return them!!!! Then they don't send you your rebate...

You HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!

i just called 626-961-6326. and hit option #3 for customer service. i talked with a guy named Joseph. he told me he took down my email address and full name. he said he will get back to me within 24 hours. hopefully i will get something back from him soon and let you guys know what you need to do!


by the way, what does DOA stand for??

ok here is the deal. i talked with the same guy again , joseph. he told me that i need to wait another 2 to 4 weeks. since he told me that their company contract the rebate out to another company to handle that. so i asked him for the company info such as name and phone number. then i was on hold for 10 mins. he said he could not find his manager, peggy. i gave him my cell phone number. he is supposed to call me back about an hour later. hopefully i will get a call from him. if not, i will call him again. i will let you guys know what happen
 
ok. as usual, no one call me back. so i called them again. finally i got the manager, peggy on the phone. she told me that the rebate company just finished the process and will mail out the check on monday. so if anyone have problem, please call 626-961-6326 and option #3. i think joseph is the only person there because every time i called. he is the one to pick up the phone. good luck everyone!!!

ps: remember not to buy anything from this company again. their rebate sucks!!!!!:mad:
 
Got an e-mail from them yesterday and it stated that the rebate company has started.

i finally got a check from them today. but it look like it was internal made check from bank of america. it is hard to read the singnature but i think cindy signed the check.:teeth:
 
FINALLY got my rebate check in the mail yesterday. It is a hand-written check drawin from Bank of America funds. No wonder it took them so long to get my check. If I had to hand-write all those then I'd be months behind too! :) Here is my history with this rebate issue. I don't think I will ever buy from Diablotek again unless they use a reputable rebate processing company.
