If you haven't donated yet, please try to do so. This is really important. You're saving lives.

Make a donation to what.. You should start by asking the idiot in your avatar and the monkey who renamed the white house.. They're the ones with all the spendable money in the world...

I would like to add my feelings on this tragic situation. USA has donated 350 million dollars and Japan half a billion. Now why can't the US take some money and help out fellow Americans, we have tragedies everyday. We have our own people who cannot get medication they need to keep from being sick or dying. We have plenty of homeless people here who do not have shelter or food. We have plenty of people here who are infected with disease. When we had our tragic attack in New York or the hurricanes in Florida, how many contries donated moeny to help the US? US always seems to have big pockets when it comes to other countries, but its own. How much money do they need over there, they truly did not have all that much to begin with anyways. Maybe we can build a few highrise office buildings there, and outsource some more American jobs to also help them out a little more.

Yes it was tragic what happened over there, but what about taking care of our own. No one posts a poll here on whether you donated to help fight MS, AIDS, breast cancer or anything like that.

OK end of my rant.

Sorry to say that the tsunami tragedy is an unprecented worldly affected event since hundreds of foreign nationals are still missing and already listed as dead from multiple nations, such as Sweden, UK, other European countries,

If you have some time, please read some of the horrific and sad email messages from family members and friends of loved ones still missing or from those who survived:
http://www.cnn.com/2004/WORLD/asiapcf/12/28/more.emails/index.html

My heart goes out to those folks. How would u feel if someone you know is listed as missing in one of the countries that was affected by this tragedy?

Our own U.S. domestic social problems, such as healthcare, poverty/homeless, etc. are our own political choosing. The only point I agree with u is regarding committing to find a cure to AIDS, cancer, and other diseases from world wide sponserships and/or donations.

So, if folks are able and willing to donatation either money, time, food, etc., good for you and my hat goes off for you.
