I had a problem with my Nikon 5700. at least the 1st one I owned!!
It had a dead (hot) pixel. Luckally I returned it with in the exchange period. At least I know I wasnt' the only one with a problem..

I sold that camera a few months ago for a Canon EF-50mm f/1.4 for my 20d.
