Digital converter box....

I got 2 coupons for the $40 off a digital converter box. Now....what converter and where should/can I purchase?

I've seen many mixed reviews online for them...also, do all vendors accept the coupon?

Even though I have cable on my tv's....since they're getting a bit older, I'm letting my kids have tvs in their room for plug in games, movies, etc. (closely monitored) but they will not be getting cable so I thought the converter box would be a good idea.

So, does anyone have experience with them and can you make a recommendation?

I got the coupons a long time ago before the boxes were in the stores. Now that my coupons expired I am SOL. Geesh what a lark.
