I've known some people that were able to work for Direct TV from home, but cannot find any information on how to apply for the job. I have looked on the Direct TV career site with no luck. Does anyone have any information on this subject? Any help would be great!

:welcome: Can't you call DirecTV and ask?

Is it working for the call center of directv? I try to stay up on work at home jobs and haven't heard about this.

Maybe the postion is out sourced from another company. I work for West At Home for HSN, but they have several positions for all sorts of companies http://apply.westathome.com/ I have been working for them going on 2 years and the pay is great.

That website is interesting. I noticed the FAQ said the pay was either Min. wage or per call/per min. which ever is greater. How do they pay for the per call/per min?

Pay is either direct deposited or they have a Visa Debit they give you , also paid training. Once hired they will ask you to send in the New Hire paperwork w9 etc... you are an employee, and they do offer bene's too. And they are all incoming Customer service postions.Everything is scripted, and very user friendly.

It can go up to over 1.00 a minute. Every time a call come through it is timed through their software. At the end of your shift what ever is higher the pay per min or min wadge that is what you get. This is great because alot of the WAH postions do not do that. usually if you dont get calls you dont get paid. This way even if you get 1 call or no calls you will still get paid. As long as you keep your performace rate in good standing you get more calls and you get paid the most. They also have alot of guarenteed hours, which you can make up to 20.00 an hour or more. I know that they have big customers, like mobil companies, HSN, Shop[ NBC, Merk,Shering Plough,Whirlpool etc.....

Once you get the job, I'd like to ask you why does my direct tv in the living room loses signal/picture easily while the tvs upstairs doesn't. It angers me knowing that I'm missing my shows!

Hahahaha You should get Comcast instead

JetBlue's calls are also handled by work at home employees but you have to be in the SLC, Utah area. It's one way they keep their prices down (no office overhead such as building leases, paying employees to flush the toilets, use their electricity, etc) and their customers happy (saves more money than outsourcing to India and customers love speaking to someone they can understand).
