I bought one of these dell laptops a month ago...at first , say, the first 2 weeks...the sound from the built in speaker was really rich and sharp...I thought it was pretty darn nice...but after a while of listening to some rock music...I don't know if it was my ears or the built in speakers...but the volume I adjusted, which was loud at a 1/5th bar setting, was really poor in quality...almost like something died...and lately, I've been having to turn it up a bit, but it doesn't seem like it helps with the clarity...all that does is that I can listen to the song from further away, but whether or not I'm sitting in front of the laptop or a row down...it sounds about the same...and I notice that when I turn it up high, even though the pitch of the songs don't sound any higher or richer, I've been feeling my ears slightly numb...which I know that means that something's wrong and I shouldn't do what I should be doing anymore..

but I don't understand it correctly...don't you usually get ear damage from hearing something really soft to a sharp high loud pitch like what you hear at concerts? why would my ears be feeling a little irratated right now from having a higher setting for volume on what's considered to be a dying laptop speaker?:convinced:
