Does OEM qualify for x64 upgrade?

I was wondering if I can just purchase a OEM copy of Windows XP Professional and get this upgrade to x64 version.

Anyone tried? Also who has x64 Windows here? Hows the performance and compatibility issues?

Yes, it does qualify.

You must also have a Retail (Full Packaged Product), System Builder, or OEM version of Microsoft Windows® XP Pro (32-bit) to exchange.

You may have problems with drivers, since most manufacturers have not created 64-bit ones yet.

which site sells legitimate OEM softwares again for cheap? I believe some companies are starting to sell fake OEMs...

I know Newegg sells OEM, not sure if they are the cheapest or not.

Remember, you need Windows XP Pro instead of home.
