Does Spoofee think it's the only deal site on the net?????

Hi all,

While I think spoofee.com is a great deal site, it is certainly NOT the only site worth visiting.

A few minutes ago I tried to post a link to another site to save spoofee.com users an additional $45 off of items they've already ordered. ( http://www.spoofee.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=4560 )

The link was disabled, and even upon editing the post, the name of the site was censored!! ( **********)

WTF. We aren't allowed to share information that isn't exclusive to dear old spoofee.com? I understand getting credit for links to purchases is a big portion of the proceeds of your site, and I always try to "click thru" the site where I first saw the deal, but isn't the spirit of spoofee.com to share information so people can get the best deal possible?

I understand your concern. We normally don't like to post links to other sites, it's just the way we are. Spoofee can tell you more why. If you want to share the deal, please post the information on the actual Spoofee message board then give credit to the site that originally posted if you want. We just normally don't like to post links to other sites because of copyright concerns and courtesy issues.

Please post further concerns like these in the "Discuss Spoofee.com" forum, as it is more appropriate there. Thanks.
 
I just took a look at your original post and it doesn't look like Choochoojr, me or any other of the moderators touched it. Choochoo normally leaves notes if he changes a post so I doubt he did anything, and Spoofee normally doesn't go near the posts.

Are you sure a moderator changed it?

Also, moderators and Spoofee have the final say to whether a post is appropriate, just so you know. Sorry for the misunderstanding!

Thanks for the replies.

I seems to me that this was an automated response , disabling both the www.**********.net and just the site name **********. These were immediate changes upon me clicking "Submit Reply", so I don't believe a moderator intervened either... there must be a list of site names/URLs not allowed by Spoofee.

I feel the most appropriate placement of a link would be within the original deal thread, where all subsequent visitors could benefit from the info as well, and NOT on a different thread as you suggest. IMHO.

It was not me. I was working all night, and just woke up here. Sorry :confused:
 
Spoofee probably has it set up so that any link is disabled, just for spam and referral services.

But wait, that doesn't work because people post deal links. Yes, other deal sites must be blacklisted.
 
Hi, I'm sorry about this. I censored some sites to prevent users from spamming their site(s) on the forums which can get ugly very quickly.
