Doorbusters, Early Birders, Black Friday Early Risers, CHECK IN!

I know that several Spoofers were out the door early this morning, shopping until they dropped! :claps: So how was it folks? Did you all get what you went "hunting for?" Were there any deals specifically you were interested in, and, did you manage to buy them? But, more importantly, did you get out and home safely and in one piece? Share how the experience went for you and what your "prize item" was that you purchased! Now...time for some comfort food, tea, and, a nap for you guys!! If you need a sleeping buddy, Jeb Stuart says he is available at no charge! :dog:

I just woke up!! I slept at 11, went to Fry's at 2:50 a.m., and went back to bed by 7:30!! It is now 1:40 :p

Damage: 1,100

I love Fry's/Black Friday!! :D

oh boy... i just came back from a 12 hour shopping marathon - went to the outlets, went to the mall, went to several other stores... we left the house at 5am. i think the total damage to my own credit card was about $400 (i shop lightly, but i'd be more certain when i get the bill in the mail)! a remote macy's was the best bet for me and toting a coupon for an additional 15% off from the newspaper helped tons! the outlets were totally packed and when we drove past bestbuy, the line was wrapped around the block and the parking lot was completely filled! i hope the fellas who camped out all night got what they were looking for at bestbuy's - it would be awful to wait out in the freezing cold for hours only to find out their item was out of stock...

I dragged my sorry fevered bottom out the door at 6:30 AM to go to Best Buy and Kohl's. I stopped at Best Buy first to get a receiver and powered sub that my sweetie wanted. It was ridiculous in there. The line was wrapped all over inside the store. Plus I could not find what I was lookng for. I left with nothing, and vowed to keep checking online to see if the items came back in stock later in the day.

Then I went to kohl's. It was not too bad. I was able to snag a big cart in the parking lot and I went right in to get my new 7 qt. crockpot that will be $7.50 after the rebate. :) I shopped around a bit and got stuff the kids needed and a few pairs of cute shoes and a great pair of boots. I had a 15% off coupon on top of the early bird specials. I did pretty well there.

The stuff did come back in-stock online at Best Buy. We ordered it with free shipping and I did not have to go back to the store. phew!

I'm pooped.

The two little men and I left the house at 10 a.m. and got home at 6 p.m. What troopers! Mostly we did Kohls. It was after 1 by the time we got out which was when most of the doorbusters were over. Then Home Depot for some stuff I saw in their circular, Target just because and then the mall for while. I'm so proud of them!

I was gone for over 16 hours today. I shopped with my dh in the morning, my friends during the day, and my dh again tonight (got home at 10:15). (although I didn't buy anything while with my friends--that was more just for fun) We bought a lot of stuff and got quite a bit of Christmas shopping done!

We did light shopping, bout $28 damage, LOL, few groceries and a new pair of shoes for my oldest, pretty nice sneakers for $11, and we live in a very rural area, so the walmart here was literally deserted compared to the one in town. The parking lot wasn't even 1/2 full, and we got a free movie from redbox thanks to Joyce and her code, so it was a stress free easy going day, most of our shopping will be done online, I won't step foot or tire into town before 11 pm until after the first week in new years, I just don't like huge crowds especially with 4 kids!

The sales were really disappointing yesterday, especially the so-called "doorbuster specials." A lousy $3 off a pair of jeans? No wonder all the stores were empty when I was out! I hit Sears when they opened at 5am and then Macy's when they opened at 6. They were both ghost towns. I guess everyone else had the good sense to stay home and sleep in.

I did get one good deal at Macy's, and that was a microwave for $19.99 after my coupons. Plus there's an additional $10 rebate, so assuming the rebate comes (and they never do!), the final price will have been $9.99. But that ended up being the only thing I bought. I'm going to wait for prices to comee down some before I start buying too much.

Thanksgiving night I was in bed at midnight and I tossed and turned for the next three hours until I had to be up. I made a thermos full of coffee and headed out.
Yesteday was the first time hitting the stores before noon. My friend (who was also a newbie) and I were at the door at 4 am. What a rush. Right at the door we grabbed 2 crock pots and a electric skillet. Man were they heavy. We waited in a line for 5 minutes just to get upstairs. grabbed a few other things and went back downstairs and got in line to checkout. Spent $70 and I have $40 in rebates. :woot:
We couldn't find my truck. Imagine how fun that was carying 2 crock pots alone.

I am not an agressive shopper, so I am glad I was w/ one. :claps: She even had a friend buying us stuff at other stores.
We didn't get back home til 11. My muscles are so sore today, but I'm glad I went. I had so much fun. We're going again next year and we're bringing more poeple.

Group shopping. That will be the next big thing. Gangs of shoppers with their sticks ready to poke you if you get in their way for the items they want. :boink: LOL

My rebates have always come. If there were ever any issues, I simply called and they fixed it for me. I've saved bunches with rebates. :)
