DVD player

So of course after all the black friday sales ended, my DVD player crapped out on me last night:cry:. Seeing as there is no way I can last more than a week without a one (I watch an average of 4-15 DVD's a week, sometimes more. Even just a few days is annoying.) I need to get one this week.

But its been 5 years since I last bought one and while I know movies, I just don't know DVD players. Don't know why...just don't. Never paid much attention.

So what's a decent priced DVD player and what specs should I look for?
 
Do you want to look into getting something beyond a basic one? An HD or Blu Ray one? Amazon had a good deal for and HD one and I think Best Buy might have a good deal for the same one. Comes with free DVDs.
 
If I can get a decent price on an HD, I'd probably go for that one as long as it will still play my regular DVD's. But I really don't see myself getting into blu-ray.
