E-mail from the future

I checked the first couple of pages of my bulk mail in hopes that I would find a confirmation e-mail that accidently was put there (the Senseo offer!) and I noticed that the date of the spam and junk was Monday January 18, 2038. Can anyone explain to me why this would be?

Maybe so that your email program would recognize it as the newest message and end up on top or at the bottom. (This way you would likely see it over all of the other SPAM).

My guess...
 
dehawk doesn't know how to change the date on his computer. :noidea:
 
I got one dated 1809 last week
 
what happened is the mail server that they sent it from has the wrong date setup. I don't think spammers care too much about the date.

I get those ALL the stinkin time. People who have died and have no other family or friends and they have chosen me to deposit millions into my bank account! Somehow those dont always end up in the bulk bin!

I feel bad that Dehawk cant set the time on his computer though. :(
