If you go to the main page at Enterprise, they are advertising a Friday through Monday deal of $9.99 per day for a compact or economy with unlimited mileage!
I booked it for a Vegas trip for this weekend!

Yes, I called for it years ago, they say only a certain number of cars for that price.

Did they offer you a better car for $1 more per day after you ordered one?

i use this this weekend deal couple month ago when i was going vegas, was great deal ! i use it with my amex card so i didnt need to buy the insurance!!!

I have to pick it up tomorrow. They didn't offer me anything yet, we will see. And yes, I will definitely use my American Express card.
I will let you guys know if there were any problems.

Also, when I did a search for a car online, all of the offices in my area were sold out. So I just called and asked the lady if they had one available and she said yes. I think I got a little lucky.

unless you are getting reward or cashback bonus, what is the advantage of
american express insurance coverage versus visa's rental car insurance?

If you already have a car with insurance you can use that insurance.

This is a great deal , I have used it countless times, there are corporate numbers floating around on the internet that when you sign up online you can circumvent the under 25 surcharge. Its impressive that it is unlimited miles because previously it was 300 miles max. Iit used to be 20 dollars per day for unlimited miles, and that is still a good deal. If you have a long weekend trip from your house this is better because it saves the depreciation on your car! I have done that too!

Downsides to enterprise:
1. You have to return to the same place as you picked it up. but you can sweet talk the indivigual branches to get the car a little before noon, and drop off a little late on mondays.

2. Sometimes they try to screw you on scratches etc. never happened to me however I have heard. Be sure to take the CSR out and document all scratches dents/etc no matter how small.

3. They also try to screw you on gas. they put in "3/4" but really they just put in enough for the guage to show it, its 1/2 a talk 1 mile down the road. Do the same thing when you return it to them.

4. They also try to sell you thier insurance. I never get their insurance, for any car rental, if you do the corporate number normally they have a pre-aranged deal and insurance is always provided.

Enterprise is great because it is cheap though.

I have my insurance company give me a 0 deductible for the time I have the car. That usually only costs me about $1.25 per day.

Everything went great with the rental car. Pickup was easy, the car was a 2005 Chevy Aveo 4 door auto w/AC and only 7700 miles on it. It drove really well and was a great car overall. Gas mileage was Excellent! Took only half a tank from South OC to Las Vegas. We spent $40 on gas for the whole trip!!!

At return the representative looked at the car, checked the mileage and gave us the total of $32.00 for the 3 days at 9.99 a day plus tax.

I am one happy driver!! :) :) :)

I just booked a Friday-Monday rental for a trip to vegas in a few weeks. I was amazed that there was no under 25 penalty fee so I called and they said that as long as I am over 21 there is no fee. That is great! Thanks for the post and saving me some $$$!

how to get unlimited milage? I am in NJ and I can only get 100 miles per day.

try calling them. maybe they will let you know. i have found their customer service to be excellent.

i called them. they told me i have to add $10 per day if i want unlimited miles

Well, what I did was I went through the Enterprise website and when it got to the part where it shows you the car you picked it should say unlimited mileage towards the bottom of the page. This is when I picked up the phone and told them that it says unlimited mileage on the website, so they honored it. I also printed it out, but she didn't ask for it when I picked up the car.

So just tell them that it says unlimited on the website, it should work.

Website rate is much cheaper then the desk rate. I was told I could order from the website & pick it up in 5 minutes if I wanted to, no need to wait 2 hours.
