This was a great first post, ski. Thank you!:claps:

Yes it is!! I am, however, going to call the Applebee's nearest me in NJ and ask why they, none in NJ, are not participating.

I wonder if some NJ statute is the reason?

There are only 12 states participating.

Not such a hot deal, which it's not a nationwide thing.

Good post but bad on Applees part if they are going to do this it should be
all of them...

I'm an Army Vet and my husband is currently serving, but they're not doing it in our area!!! I notice that applebees in not doing it in the places that are closest to military bases????

I think it would be more of an honor for veteran's NOT to eat at Applebee's :)

Military Appreciation Monday

The 2008 Military Appreciation Monday dinner will be held on Monday, November 17, 2008 from 5 pm to 9 pm in all Golden Corral Restaurants.

The free “thank you” dinner is available to any person who has ever served in the United States Military. If you are a veteran, retired, currently serving, in the National Guard or Reserves, you are invited to participate in Golden Corral’s Military Appreciation Monday dinner.

To date, Golden Corral restaurants have provided over 1.8 million free meals and contributed over $2.53 million to the Disabled American Veterans organization.

Gotta love the Garden State! Not one location in NJ is participating!

This is almost as smart a corporate move as Coke changing it's formula.LOL:evil:

Thanks for posting this. I am a vet and I live in NJ. They are not partisipating. I will never go to an Applebee's in NJ again!
