I hate Big Lots too. Soon as I save up $50 I'm buying my local Big Lots and turning it into a clown suit store.

Sunscreen SPF 50 eight ounces for $2 - 20%
Solar lights 4 / $12 - 20% ($2.40 for each LED / solar garden lamp)
Coconut milk 14 oz / $0.80 - 20% ($0.64 and the Dollar Store has same Roland brand for...uh, a dollar)
Cashew halves & pieces 21 oz / $4.50 - 20% ($2.75 / lb)
Cashews honey roasted 9 oz / $2 - 20% ($2.84 / lb)

Selection is hit-and-miss. Last time I found little sunscreen and at twice the price.

I got the canned premium nuts with cashews, macadamias and almonds.
$3 = $2.40

And Champion sports socks that were high quality, in x-large size (very hard to find).
$4/4pr = $3.20 (I bought them all!).

They have some high quality stuff mixed in with the average dollar store stuff. Rubbermaid brand containers, etc.

..one store in Dallas had a large furniture area. With Serta mattresses, etc.

FWIW the big lots in my area always have good stuff at super cheap prices---way cheaper than walmart anyways
