zen micro 30g deal

i ordered from dell aprill 5th and was told shiping date is on may 18th. Ridiculous!!! why dont they tell you its not in stock when you place the order

I bought one of these from dell 4/21 with an expected ship date of 5/8. Called dell last night 4/28 to see if the item would still be shipped on time since it is a birthday gift. They told me item is on back order and will not ship till 5/31st. Be warned that if you want this item it will come but you won't see it for 5-6 weeks. Dell's customer service has gone down hill as well. After complaining for 90 minutes through a dell chat session all they offered was next day delivery and a $10 credit. I won't be buying through dell again as this is the second time they have made false promises of delivery. It took 2 months to get a sony digital camera from them when I ordered. Dell flat out lies to their consumers and than blames it on the manufacuturer. They don't have any of the vision m's in stock right now even though they say on their site it will ship in 1-2 weeks.

I bought one on 4/5 too when the deal was $289.00. My guess is they got all kinds of orders that day because the price went to $299.00 by the time I finished the deal that night :thumbs_do . On the other hand, I don't mind waiting for delivery. Rather then disappointing people by telling them the item was no longer available, they sent an email with an expected ship date.

Just got a call from Dell, backordered still, pushed from 5/3 delivery to 6/13. Two months...I called and got expedited shipping out of it but I'm going to get try to get something else out of them. Now to explain that the gift for the wife is a bit later...
