Is this normal? That scares me.

They're free. How good can they really sound?:worry:
 
i have a cyberhome portable dvd player, it is serviceable but nothing spectacular, so i would expect the same from these.
 
Costs me $5.00 b/c of sales tax. :( Free is always nice tho. :) If I didn't have so much $$$ tied up on pending rebates, I'd go ahead and dive in to this too. Thanks Spoofee for my empty wallet and all these great deals. Heeheehee. :)

I think everyone has a Cyberhome DVD player. That's in the kids' play room in the basement.

On September 5, 2006, the company filed for bankruptcy under Chapter 7 of the federal Bankruptcy Act, case number 0641544. Those with monetary claims against the company are advised to obtain a Proof of Claim form by writing to US Bankruptcy Court, 1300 Clay, Oakland, CA, 94612 for resubmission to that court. The case number should be entered on the form. Claims must be submitted by December 26, 2006.

On June 8, 2006, the Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office announced that agents from the REACT Task Force, assisted by agents from the FBI and agents from Immigration and Customs Enforcement, executed a search warrant on Cyberhome Entertainment, Inc. The search warrant was part of an ongoing investigation into the illegal manufacture and sale of products bearing counterfeit trademarks. REACT agents seized 8 tractor trailer loads of infringing DVD recorders; estimated retail value of the 20,000 plus units exceeds $2 million.

Cyberhome's online store states that they are closed and currently unable to accept orders.

guess if/when my battery for the portable dvd player dies then I won't be getting another one
