Same song second verse. We'll save you 750.00 if you take the lowest SDRAM and the highest warranty service agreement minus the free perks we normally give on your system before you save 750.00. Dell can just bl..... Never mind.

What do you mean high warranty? I just picked up another 700m with only 1 year warranty. I had the option to upgrade to a 2, 3 or 4 year warranty, but I stayed with 1. As far as memory goes, I don't care. I plan on buying my own 1 gig modules and maxing out to 2 gigs. Got it for $884 before tax.

I had to pay 2 bucks on ebay for the 35 off stackable coupon. I forgot to apply FatCash to get another 20 or so dollars back :(.

Where do you get all the coupons?

where do you get those stackable coupons? The $25, and the $35? Thanks

sorry for late response...

you can get the 35 stackable coupon on ebay, it sould be listed as something like 35 off 300 stackable or something or the sort. it should cost around 2 to 4 dollars total. cost me 2 bucks.

the 25 dollars is what you get if you sign up for dell's preferred account (kinda like amazon visa for buying on amazon, except dell doesn't give u an actual card and only give u one 30 dollar off unlike dell which you get whenever the dpa coupon codes work)... you also have to pay with your dpa account... the coupon code for 25 off is: 9BNV79NQ456GVN

also if you check your order status it prolly says it wont be shipped out for a long time. what you need to do now is to email a complaint to customer care and ask if it's possible for a free upgrade and a concession coupon. the early ppl got 100 dollar concession coupons (you can get a lot of totally free stuff with this because 49 and up on accessories equals completely free s/h). I was only offered a 50 dollar one even though I said my "friend" recieved a 100 dollar one. I asked them to give me at least a 75 one and then they did. I think it's because I previously received a 35 dollar one due to missing FatCash rebate... But don't settle for 35 because you'll have to pay like 6 or 7 bucks just for some lcd protectors and carrying bag (it's still good but it doesn't beat free). Definitely get at least a 50 dollar one. You can get like a free 512mb flash drive (40 bucks), lcd protectors (9 bucks), cooling stand (15 bucks), 1gb flash drive (70 something), free all-in-one printer (64), optical notebook mouse (15~25), bag (25~really high). Just mix and match to fit your concession coupon, even if your coupon is 75, only buying 74.97 will work, it doesn't matter, you can buy only 1 dollar if u want but u might not get the free shipping, just remember you don't have to buy over the coupon amount, so dont go "fcuk it's 74.96, if i buy this ill have to buy something else to get at least 75". peace~

wtf

I take what I said back. Dell's protocols are extremely messed up and buggy, beware of usage. Shipping is not free (you'll see this once you reach checkout)! You must have bought at least 1 cent more than the coupon worth (even though it shows it as working, even your acknowledgement email will show it working, your confirmation email will discard it if it isn't at least a penny more)!

How long is a long time? I ordered my computer on the 15th and it is to be shipped on the 27th, i guess that is kind of a long time, what do i say in the e-mail? "I am very disappointed at the length of time required to ship my new dell laptop" Something like that?

Considering some of the deals they offer, how many Spoofers :spoofee: take advantage of them and considering the laptop is "custom", it doesn't appear to be too long, although I believe most of Dell's estimates are overly conservative. For example, I ordered a digital camera on a Thursday or Friday, they e-mailed me saying delivery would be in two weeks and I received the camera the following Monday (3 or 4 days after I ordered it including the weekend). FYI Amazon appears to do the same thing.

Is there a trick to this deal? I see it appear so often that I don't know when to buy...

:o

my order was originally scheduled to ship on the 25th

i complained and bluntly requested if i can get a free upgrade to next day delivery and a concession coupon.

my item however was shipped today, but i called before that ;D.

my complaint was pretty much that it said 3~5 day delivery, but it seems it will take practically a month, 25th + 3~5 days.

Thanks for the help

Thanks Ashoro for all of your assistance. I have e-mailed Dell, to which I received an automated response and then replied to so a human would read it. We'll see what happens from that, I have nothing to lose, only to gain so I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Mike69, as far as when to buy, for me it was just a matter of timing, i was looking for a new laptop and there was the best deal I could find so I took it.

Yeah, I run a computer repair business and I have many of my clients buy computers through these deals.

Their ship dates are always outrageous, they always ship out within a day or two. Dell is very fast. Normally, if you order on a Monday or Tuesday, you'll have the computer by the end of the week.

oh well...that complaint really works...got free upgrade and a coupon...thanks

Remember! You have to buy at least 1 cent more than the value of the coupon! And there is gonna be shipping! You can also apply the 2 percent off DPA coupon code to save like 2 more cents haha. Or better yet just pay with your credit card and get the 2 or 3 percent (depending if you're credit card does that) on the total cost and not the total minus s/h, I got lazy and didn't do so -_- ( so i lost like what? 30 cents? ).
