Thanks for re-posting beardeddragon and 1newmommy for the original. Looks like a good "read" with lots of "green" info.

Does anyone else find it IRONIC that this is a paper magazine and not a digital magazine? Green? Ummm....maybe not so much afterall.

I was just about to say this.
Let's hope that the people who are subscribing truly want it to better themselves and are not just doing it because it is free.

Thanks I was looking for some magazine about this!

I thought the exact same thing while I when I decided to sign up for it. My wife and I are building a home and I'm hoping to get valuable ideas we can use during the build process.

Why does everyone think electricity has 0 impact on the environment? Unless you're running a wind generator in the backyard, your computer surfing is impacting the environment.

Yes, but you see, electricity is something that we are already running and will not be living without anytime soon. Whereas with paper, you can cut it out and get the same source online from the electricity that you are already using.
Any bit helps, my friend.

All major paper manufacturers practice reforestation. I'm not saying that I think people should be wasteful, I just think that physical magazines have their place and are not inherently more wasteful than electronic media. I'm going to place my copy in our company lunch room so it can be shared among several people.

The more demand that is placed on a website, the more servers that are required to run that site, and the more electricity that is used. It is not true that the same amount of electricity is being used regardless of the number of users. In addition, depending on your location, electricity is created by the burning of fossil fuels of one type or another, creating emissions and robbing the earth of a different supposedly non renewable resource. And then on top of all that, there is nuclear energy, which has it's own set of cotroversies. We can't all have Hoover Dam in our backyard creating clean electricity. Anyway, I've gotten way off topic, so I'll leave it at that.

Haha nice, way off point.
If you read my initial post, I only hope that people that are subscribing are actually intending to make use of the magazine.

It must be expired, it wouldn't let me click on the green monster.
