New "linky" http://www.hotimportnights.com/fhmgift/

The catch?
|_|I would like to receive information from Hot Import Nights regarding their events including schedules, newsletters, ticket sales, products, sponsorship information, etc. and I would like to receive marketing and promotional information about associated products, components, accessories and kits from manufacturers and suppliers.

|_|I would be willing to participate in Market Research events such as Internet (surveys, chats, bulletin boards, etc.), Mail surveys, or In-person events (i.e. drive-tests, advanced product clinics, focus groups, etc.).

*Both boxes must be checked in order to received subscription

I'd rather pay for it then signup for god knows what solicitation by HIN... ugh..

Technically, this is false advertising.. Quote: "What’s the catch? There is none! Just opt in today and you will receive your membership immediately and your first issue of FHM will arrive in your mailbox in the next 8-10 weeks." But then they force you to check boxes to receive spam anyway they see fit.. Umm, that's a pretty big catch imo...

One word: junk email account

It's so simple...

But if you read the second item you must check, it states, not forwardly of course, that they are allowed to use your mailing address and phone number to spam you as well. To me, checking that box gives them free reign to do what they want. Which imo, ain't cool.
