ok, I just went into a pitch dark room, and it does indeed work, but it casts no light whatsoever. All I can see is a little dot. Surely this isn't how it's supposed to work????? Perhaps aliens have more luck?

If this is the case we would like to offer you a discount code for fresh batteries on our preferred online vendor's website." OK, show of hands - Let's vote on how many people will have a problem with their flashlight. Marketing ploy. In the trash it goes... :mmph:
 
Wow, that's interesting. Kind of looking forward to seeing if everyone has the same note/experience. Quite a little marketing ploy indeed.

Snail-mail spam--mine doesn't seem to work either (haven't removed it from the pkg yet to be sure).
 
got mine today, worx great! Had to hide it from the kids, LOL

I would have liked one.. but I hate facebook ... they have to be giving out more than a mini light for me to go there.. : )
 
Received two of these today, one is about ten times brighter than the other.
 
Got mine today, but it is very dim like others have posted. Went on their website for the coupon code and it only gives 18 cents off the price. It should be free. But I'm not ordering anyways.
