Most everyone should know, but this version is not Blue-ray compatible. This set will only play in the now defunct HD-DVD format.
 
haha when years 6 and 7 comes out, it wont even be in HD,-DVD format, you'll end up having an incomplete set.
 
I bought this set a few months ago for this price! Well worth it!! I have a HD-DVD player and Blu-Ray Player! :)
 
I bought this in a previous spoofee deal but I thought it was more like $40 - $50. Maybe not. My daughter LOVES it and for those of us who were savvy enough to pick up HD-DVD players for $60 when the format was abandoned it is quite a deal.

True, #6 and 7 will be in Blu-Ray only but by the time I buy a Blu-Ray player the prices will be MUCH lower. The $60 for the HD-DVD player (plus two discs) plus the $100 - $150 for the future Blu-Ray player will be much less than the high prices paid by Blu-Ray early adopters.

So you buy years 6 and 7 in blue ray, and end up getting the complete set in High def for a fraction of the overpriced blue ray cost.
 
for such price, they obviously try to clear out the HD-DVD stock for suckers who don't know better
 
HD-DVD is a sweet deal. I bought the HD-DVD add-on drive for my 360 for $15 dollars. So far I have 15 movies plus a season of BSG for a total of $45. I'm not complaining. You can barely rent movies that cheap.
 
Shouldn't they pay us to get it, or at least give it away? HD DVD is dead: the way of the 8-track and the BetaMax.
