(Expired) Iron Man 2 Blu-Ray / DVD Combo for $15 Shipped

Looks like the price went back upwards. I wonder if we will see any order cancellations. If not, I wonder if their "Pre-order Promise" will be or has been honored.

Cancelled mine too. What's up with that Walmart?:|

Mine was canceled as well. What is worse is the reason given was a lie. Said it was canceled due to limited availability... You know... on a pre-order...

Yeah, mine was cancelled too - with the same false reason.

The kicker though is that the weekly ad has it at $15. I've attached a screenprint of the ad just in case you want to fight it at the store (I'm going to).

Good luck!

They'll likely put up postings on the stores about that article. In most states that is all they have to do. If this is how Walmart wants to act, I can buy it elsewhere. It is not like they are going to be the only who who carries it.

I received the cancellation as well but then got this tonight. Way to go Walmart!

I'm curious about what they did with people who had existing pre-orders before that time. Their pre-order guarantee doesn't mention an exception for "price mistakes" . Or did they by accident, cancel all the pre-orders and are trying to make up for it?

I can't confirm if all pre-orders were cancelled, but it seems that they all were due to the lower than retail price they offered.

Wal-mart received a lot of complaints from their customers because the email stated that their order was cancelled due to availability issues. Had they have simply stated that there was a pricing error, they could have gotten away with cancelling the orders without too much damage. People were accusing them of outright lying, so Wal-mart decided to make amends and give all the pre-orders the giftcard to make up the difference with the price mistake.

It was a good save by Wal-mart. I don't usually commend the big superstore giants, but at least they recognized an issue and did something about it.

Well, they said people should receive them in the next 24 hours, let us see how accurate that will be. Has anyone received it yet?

I was originally pretty pissed at them for this, but when I got that email apologizing and giving it back, I was very impressed. I gotta hand it to them, they are seeming less and less evil everyday.
