I made an online purchase 2 days ago and was given a link to join the rewards program free for 30 days, which would then qualify me for a $10 rebate. I received the rebate email today containing the form to mail in. Not a bad deal...

JC Penny is offering a $5 off $5 coupon if you register for their rewards membership.

Might sound like a good deal up front, but you have to spend $200 every couple of months to get the rebates/coupons. Gets expensive real quick. More so since they will send you free $10 off a $10 purchase coupon for free every couple of weeks just for gettting on their mailing list. I've been getting them for over a year now.

If oyu're spending thet much money there anyway it might be worth it, but not just to get these little freebees.
