(Expired) Lexmark All-in-One Printer /w PictBridge for Free After Rebate

Reviews at Circuit City site warn that ink cartridges are only available at Circuit City, and are expensive (compared to yield). Only get 50-100 pages per cartridge, new ones cost $20. Reviewers didn't explicitely state if they were printing hi-res color or not.

I searched Staples and did not find a match for this ink. A "free" printer that uses 25 cents per page on ink might not be so free.

Seems this model is from the UK, so Circuit City is currently the only US retailer. Model hasn't been out long enough for generic refilled cartridges to be out there.

Not sure if the "filing stations" at places like Walgreen or Officemax can refill this one or not.
 
You raise some good points, but you can still use the scanner for free! ;)
 
Thats why printers are free, they get you on that ink.

They don't even let you know how much ink you get in a cart.

from the rebate terms found on both the 50 and 40 :

Limit 1 rebate(s) or other promotional offer(s)
per customer

Will they argue that this means only one or the other of the rebates can be used on a single printer? hmmmm
 
i would like yo know the same about having 2 rebates work? im in it for the scanner!
 
The cashier told me both rebates are valid together, and they both print out together so it should be safe.
