Target through Amazon seems to have a pricing error on the Samsung Digimax U-CA 5MP Digital Camera with 3x optical zoom. It states "In Stock Soon" so most likely it won't go through if it's a pricing error.

Cant locate

I searched high and low on samsungs website and was not able to locate anything about this camera. Which means it is soooo new or and older model that target has clearenced. I have only found a few reviews on this camera which all seem to say it's good for the price. Aereage price I saw was $249. If someone gets this let me know f it gets cancelled.
 
Two things I would say about this --
1. is beware that (online) Target direct is not in anyway tied to the store and the store
will not honor warranty claims, price match, replacement or anything else.
2. I done some checking and I was told that this camera was not made for the USA so I
do not know what that totally means.
 
They may have fixed it...

Came up as $104.58 + $6.76 shipping + $6.68 tax = $118.02 for me.

Now I just need to build up the courage to hit the "complete order" button...
 
You're right... somehow I must have gotten to anothe camera at a different price.

I've got this one up in my cart now for $119 (including tax and shipping) and I'm trying to work up the same courage. Part of me is thinking that the order will probably get cancelled anyway so I might as well give it a try :).

I tried it, I'll let you know if it goes through. Even if it's not USA, its a great deal. So ya gotta learn to read Mandrin hahah!

One odd thing on the order- it said like "add $6.xx for free shipping on this order" so I poke around and find a book and push it over. THEN it says "super saver shipping - $2.17" bringing my shipping down to like $8.

So I call Amazon and ask how they can interpret $8 as "free"? She pokes around in the order for like 10 minutes and finally comes back ans says she can't figure it out.

Now HERE is where most consumers fail- we need to state what we expect from these folks. So I say "well, $8 is NOT FREE, so please remove the shipping charges." A short pause, then "OK".

So NOW if the cameras don't ship (I ordered 2) then with the -$10.70 on the order for the shipping adjustment, this could be a sweet deal anyhow!

I figure it's not going to ship until Sept. 2 so I have over a month to cancel the order if I change my mind!

I didn't have the time to post it here yesterday, but Amazon had the v700 (7 megapixel) with 3x zoom at $100.25. It was through Target as well. I bought 8 of them. The currently run $299-$399 elsewhere on the web. I doubt they will come though and expect a cancellation of my order. This camera will probably share the same fate.
 
why does anyone need to order 8 of them? just less of the product for others.....

Why Not? It's a 100 bux

I went through with it and ordered the camera. My total was about 118 dollars. The way I look at it is that if it goes through at that price, fantastic, and if not, then not. What do I stand to lose? It's not like they can change the price to 300 dollars and still try to charge me, and even if they did, I'd just raise holy hell until they reverse any such charges.

I'd rather have a digital SLR, and I have a handmedown Kodak point-and-shoot, but 5MP for 100 bucks seems like a pretty good deal. Plus I have a Samsung phone, so I can charge it with the same cable at home or in my car, which is kind of a nice feature. And this camera also charges through a USB connection, which is a nice feature. All in all, I hope this goes through, but if not, I am not too worried. Now, if it was twice as much of an investment, I might not do it, but 100 dollars I think most of us can handle (I'm in grad school, so I'm poor).
 
I just got one too. I will call and try for the free shipping. Too bad I missed the 7 megapixel. Takes some of the wind out of my sail. But a good bargain anyhow.

I got one too on Amazon yesterday, then I went to target.com, it also has the item for $100.25. About 30 min later, Amazon took off the target merchant's link, and target.com changed the price to be $399.99.
 
The best part is Amazon doesn't charge your credit card until the item ships.

Did anyone see that person's "review" on the camera on Amazon. Nice way to highlight the price error, pal. :mad: Plus they're so dopey, they use their real name in the review.

probably to sell on ebay for like 50 more than you paid so people still think theyre getting a deal and you end up making money and getting a camera

does anyone know the customer service phone number for amazon?? i just ordered the camera. can someone tell me more about the super saver shipping thing?? is it for all orders over $25?? cause i was charged for my shipping.
