Usually they have discounts of 40%, 50% and once in a while 60%. But, in the three years I have been using Restaurant.com, I have never seen a 70% discount! I loaded up! THANKS, SPOOFEE:wave:
 
what are some of the terms and conditions? only some are specified. can you use 2-3 certs at once? or do these places only take 1 per visit? thanks in advance. i just have a feeling there has to be some catch.
 
Yeah, I hadn't been buying any for a while because I still have a few to use. But I have bought some today. The $10 ones that they usually sell for $3 are now 90 cents. There is a new Caribbean place near me on there too, so I got one for them.
 
ok, anyone in the Manhattan area know of any good places to eat that is listed at Restaurant.com. I'm having trouble deciding. I know of ACME. They are pretty good, i picked up a few from there.

Some have more restrictions that others, but they all have these conditions:



One per party per month per restuarant, even if party is at different tables and receives seperate checks. So you can only use one per visit. Other than that, restrictions are placed by the merchants and applicable laws.
 
WOW! This is a GREAT find! where can you get $10 worth of food for 90cents or a $25 tab for $3. ???!!! I'm trying out some new places soon!
 
The restrictions are listed clearly. I use these all the time, today it saved me $10 on a pizza ;)

Been using restaurant.com for a while with 50 and 60% off but this is just amazing!!!

$13.80 for $120 of FOOD!!!

If this deal came 1 week sooner, everyone would have gotten dining certificates for Christmas

Since I had already gotten a bunch of these last month, there was not much in my area that I could use, but I managed to get $20 worth of food for $1.80. Hard to NOT find something at this kind of price savings!

yeah, some of the better options were already sold out. It said to check back at the beginning of next month...does anyone know if the 70% off will still be good then?

weird. Some of the certificates came out free for me when I went to checkout. I suppose that's great! :claps:
 
Acme is a great place for Cajun food. I just used my certificate there last week. Monster Sushi is very popular but I believe it's already sold out. I just went to Ethos for Greek food & it was pretty good. Huge portions & the waiter was super friendly. Le Souke is good if you want to see some belly dancing, but I can't remember if the food was any good. I heard Havana Central is pretty good too, but haven't been there yet. Hope this helps!

I just received an email from restaurants.com which says that this 70% off deal ends at the stroke of midnight on 12/31/06.
 
my purchase hasn't been acknowledged by restaurant.com

I just had an unpleasant experience with restaurant.com. I chose to buy gift certificates, keeping my options open on which restaurant to purchase. During the checkout process, I chose to pay with paypal. The transaction succeeded, I got a transaction receipt email from paypal. I clicked the "back to merchant" button on the paypal screen, and restaurant.com displayed an error page. The certificates I purchased weren't there.

This happened as of 7:30pm the night before (12/28). I emailed restaurant.com with the problem, and as of noon the next day (12/29), they haven't responded. I called their customer service line, and got an answer machine instructing me to leave my name and number. I'm fairly hopeful this will all get worked out eventually, but its disappointing that:
a) it happened in this day of modern e-commerce. This is 2006, not 1996.
b) they didn't get it immediately fixed the first thing the next day.
 
Check your cart spoofeereader. The certificates are most likely in there. Once your order is accepted, they should be there.
