I've never been impressed with Woot. I did order a t-shirt off of shirt woot once and also a Barbie vacuum cleaner for my niece. I have found that when they sell refurbished items, the new ones can often be found for a few dollars more (sometimes direct from the manufacturer). Half of what Woot sells are Roomba vacuums anyway.

Although I have still bought off woot in the past couple years, it is rather dissapointing the direction they've gone, what with selling GPS & iRoomba's 50% of the time, or with a deal not being a guaranteed 'best of' deal like it was when they first started, but they do still have some deals that are good enough to keep me checking, so here I am... refresh, refresh, refresh... what's next...
 
But I loved those woot screaming monkey's I got! Also the bag of crap is awesome.
And you can't beat $5 shipping for anything (including stuff like fridges and tvs). Of course, they rarely have something you actually want or need.

They had keychain screaming monkeys as the closer last night. Not a good choice for those who go to church and have 3 and 4 year olds.

That's certainly the truth. They have gotten far away from their original model. The problem is that that original model worked, and it worked well. Now thye are selling random junk most of the time.

It may be because other sites have copied with "deals of the day", like Big Lots, ebay, and many others.

While the market has become inundated with deal a day sites, Woot had their niche. They have gotten away from the techy/geek/gadget area that they were known for. They became popular selling cheap hard drives, and other tech gadgets. Now thye are selling wine, pool vacuums, and basically anything they can get their hands on.
