I would recommend paying more than $0.01 if you want to encourage them to make more great games. I got this for the wii and it was a solid game, though a bit short. The length is about 1/3 that of what I would want if it were a full game sold on a CD at stores. Also since it is not on a CD, you cant turn around and sell it when you are done. Consequently I think a fair price for this game is about $10.

I'm in for $1. Not sure I'll even play this game, so we'll see. (This is not a game I'd normally buy, though.) With all the people going to download it, they should still make a nice sum if everyone paid $1+.

This is a really fun game. I got the demo a while back. Now I'm tempted to purchase it....

By the way, it costs more for them to process a penny transaction that it is worth. Give them some good money loving.

Yeah, that's one of the reasons I chose $1. Another reason is that people seem to like this game, although, I've never played it. It's also cool that they are doing this promotion and that it's DRM free. If it's good enough I can always go back and donate more. I doubt this game will get me to stop playing Team Fortress 2 and Left 4 Dead, though. :P

o_O

isn't this game free? i went to google and it looks free from places else where. i realized that after i bought it... all it did was send me to a download link that isn't even secure. i could of prolly found it off somewhere else.

this game is so freakn addictive and super fun all while making you think and strategize. this is also very family friendly and the kids will love the graphics ... nice find!

The demo is free. The actual game is not.

Their email I received states this: "We are trying an experiment: World of Goo has absolutely no copy protection or DRM at all, since we want to give you (and everyone) the best experience we can. Thanks for not distributing this, and helping us make this possible!"

Basically these guys are not putting all the copy protection and other crap into the game and are just focusing on making a game. It's your choice to "cheat them" if you want, but I choose to reward them, even if it was only $1. This game is not free for the full version. It's $20 on steam.

Very nice and fun game. Highly recommended! So different from anything I've ever played before. In fact, I'd go back and pay them more because I like it so much.

That is just counting the cost to process the sale. If you figure their cost to pay their lease, utilities, employees, etc. its a heck of a lot more than $1. If you want them to continue making great games like this consider paying at least $10.

I paid $5 for it. If it had been on CD with a manual, etc., I probably would have paid more.
It can be a very frustrating game but you'll come back for more. It reminds me a lot of Lemmings.
