The real hope of Christianity is not death leading to Heaven but rather resurrection leading to life. The Bible doesn't teach that someone dies and then goes to Heaven. It teaches that Jesus will one day return and resurrect believers to live forever with Him. Death is an enemy. Jesus conquered that enemy when he rose from the dead, and that is why Christians believe that there is life beyond the grave.
