Faux Painting Wood Grain on a Metal Door...

I am in the market for a new front door an I wanted wood until I found out how much they are. So here in PA we have Habitat for Humanity Re-stores, they sell new and used building supplies, mostly extras donated by contractors. ANYHOW, I can get a metal door for $80 and do this faux wood grain here http://www.ugl.com/H2Stain.html I am semi crafty and hoping I can pull it off. it looks GREAT in the pics/movies, but has anyone actually seen this in person??? does it look like wood???

Go for it!!!...
Worst case scenario you paint it a bold color like, red, purple black etc...

I've actually done it on the baseboard in my foyer. Not very difficult, looks great. Go for it!

Casey, as far as the woodgrain look, IMHO it does look pretty good from a distance, but upclose you can definitely tell.
