With Thanksgiving coming up in just a couple of weeks, my house has turned into a command center of feast planning. The Thanksgiving holiday offers us the perfect time to reconnect with the most important people in our lives while enjoying a wonderful meal and making memories. However, the reality remains that our homes, tablecloths, and clothes often prove worse for wear after the celebration has ended.
Thankfully, Clorox has put together an arsenal of laundry information that will be available online and by telephone 24/7 through the holiday season. Clorox stain and laundry expert, Dr. Laundry (a.k.a., Harold Baker), has expanded his already thorough stain-and-laundry-advice blog, http://www.drlaundryblog.com, to include a new series of instructional videos. The "Seasons Eating's" videos will feature Dr. Laundry showing viewers, step by step, the ins and outs of bleach use as well as techniques for removing everything from cranberry sauce to gravy smears from fabric. Additionally, Dr. Laundry's popular Stain Hotline will also be ready for calls again this year. People can dial 1-800-STAIN-411 for advice and tips on the nine most common holiday stains.
To help us Moms look on the bright side as we watch our grandmother's tablecloth absorb this year's crumbs and spills, Mom Central has also launched a contest in conjunction with Dr. Laundry. We invite you to share your best stain or spill stories by clicking here. We welcome tales of legend from years past as well as the latest editions this year is sure to create. And if you happen to have a camera close by as stains occur this year, snap a picture and send it our way. The first 200 submissions will receive a coupon for a complimentary bottle of Clorox Liquid Bleach, and three first place winners will receive a Stain Survival Kit, featuring the best solutions to avoid stains in the first place.
If you have any questions, please contact Allison at [email protected]. We can't wait to hear your stories and see your pictures!
Warmest,
Stacy
